New portfolio sample, bit of a teaser for the fun character animation I got to do for the Sponge Bob game. The animation is actually 3d even though it looks like traditional. (Kinda like South Park, but way better) Character creation started out with a concept drawing of the slightly modified art style from the tv show, then the character was cut up and given a variety of pieces depending on the animation. I did a test rig in maya for a first pass at the animation and once approved the character was rerigged in max. Ill post a texture samples to give you a better idea of how it works. Ill also be adding these animations and quite a few more to my animation portfolio page when I can.
